I'm a researcher and database analyst living in San Francisco. My research background is in medical bioinformatics and image processing. I'm currently working on the Translational Medicine team at Clovis Oncology.
In July 2018, I joined Clovis Oncology on their Translational Medicine Research team in San Francisco. The Translational Medicine Research team is responsible for handling the scale of data from thousands of patients screened by Clovis, which includes genomics, nonclinical, and preclinical data types.
I'm developing a scalable cloud relational data system using Postgres, Python, and AWS. This service allows for complex querying, features a RESTful interface powered by a serverless architecture and provides elegant visualizations written in React.
I presented data at AACR 2019 providing coverage of TRITON2 patient screening activities in the ongoing study of PARPi treatment of prostate cancer.
I worked at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub from August 2017 to June 2018. My contributions to the Biohub spanned from histological imaging analysis to the development of scRNAseq utilities. Of note, I performed exploratory analysis to measure the efficency of novel
padlock DNA probes to register signals on tissue across 50+ genes.
In addition, as part of the Tabula Muris Project, I wrote several programmtic tools in R and Python to assess the bioinformatic quality of single-cell RNA samples.
From 2015 to 2017, I worked in the Songbird Neuroscience lab of Dr. Michael Brainard at UCSF. I supported NGS and imaging pipelines to discover gene targets of spatial variation across the neuromotor (song) pathway of the Bengalese Finch. My contributions led to the initial characterization of inhibitory interneuron subtype marker expression aligned to the brain's regional axis.
